In ancient times, Kyanite was used by travellers as a compass as it could follow the earth's magnetic force in the same way as a compass needle. Whether this is still a useful trait is debatable, but the beautiful shades of blue will certainly pass the test of time.
Created to resemble a button, each round cabochon of Kyanite has been "sewn" into place with a sterling silver thread.
